Local area

Happy to collect Guest from Hungerford or Didcot train stations on arrival and departure.

Set in the heart of the Lambourn Downs horse racing district, our home is in a rural location but the village of Lambourn is a 20 minute walk away with a couple of shops, church, dentist and barber and hairdresser. Also two pubs. Public transport is limited to a couple of buses a day to Wantage and Newbury, with a wider network from there including Oxford which is around a 1 hour journey by bus.

This is a beautiful area to explore on foot with the oldest White Horse in the country just a 1.5hrs walk away, with stunning views. The oldest road, the Ridgeway runs East and West once you get to the White Horse. A very pretty part of the UK.
