No, volunteers don't pay to stay with you. The exchange is simple: they contribute a few hours of help each day in return for free accommodation. Volunteers only pay a small membership fee to access the platform.
Your annual subscription of £50 covers everything you need to host unlimited volunteers for a full year. There are no hidden fees or per-volunteer charges.
You're always in control. If things aren't working out, you can end the stay early. We recommend clear communication upfront about expectations, and our support team is here to help if any issues arise.
Most hosts ask for around 4-5 hours of help per day, typically 5 days a week. You set your own expectations in your listing, and volunteers apply knowing exactly what's involved.
It's entirely up to you. Some hosts provide meals as part of the exchange, while others offer kitchen access for volunteers to cook their own food. Just be clear in your listing about what you offer.
