Meet the Host

Historic Manor house in picturesque Suffolk village

Key info:

  • 2-3hrs per day, 2 days off per week
  • Breakfast included. Lunch & dinner - Self catered

Accomodation:

Our Manor is the most prominent property in our delightful Suffolk village. With its Georgian features within Tudor origins, it includes very significant panelled rooms and its impressive setting hosts the village fete and other open air events. We have just completed 10 years of restoring it to its former glory, but much remains to be done along with the ongoing external maintenance and 4 acre garden.

Volunteer accommodation is one of our spare rooms. It has a double bed with wardrobe space and TV. The bathroom is shared with us, but we also have an en-suite to use, and the bathroom is mostly only used by you.

What we need help with:

  • We can use help all year round. There's always something to be done.
  • Our Forth Bridge property will always need internal & external decoration.
  • The orchard and ponds benefit from keeping clear of vegetation.
  • A programme of radiator replacement may continue this year along with other plumbing projects.
  • Some house sitting may be needed if we are away for break.
