Our country house is nestled in the Chiltern Hills, surrounded by beautiful countryside. We have 11 acres to maintain, fields, gardens, 2 ponds and 6 beehives. We are looking for volunteers to help us maintain the land, so if you enjoy being outside, surrounded by nature, this would be perfect for you! We have an annex attached to our house, so you would have a private space with your own front door, private bedroom and bathroom not used by the family. There is also a separate private living room, which has a small cooking area with an oven, fridge and hob, and we provide cutlery and crockery.

We primarily need gardening assistance and help maintaining our land and fields, but also on any specific projects that are going on, depending on the time of year. There are lots of hedges to trim, fields to mow if you have experience on a tractor, skimming the pond which can be done from our little boat. Cutting back and removing unwanted shrubs. Skills listed are preferable but not essential.

We provide breakfast and there is a private cooking area for volunteers with a fridge, freezer, oven and hob in order to cook other meals.

We are located in the beautiful Chiltern hills, an area of outstanding natural beauty, between the market towns of Wendover and Princes Risborough. We are surrounded by walking trails, rolling hills and great pubs; you can find independent shops and farmers' markets in nearby towns like Wendover and Thame, while the local train station will take you direct to London, Bicester Village and Oxford. The Prime Minister's country house Chequers, is less than a mile away; you can walk in the grounds here and visit the farm shop.
