Key info:

• 4-5hrs per day, 2 days off per week

Accomodation:

Volunteers would be in their own private cabin.

What we need help with:

In the quieter winter months we're busy maintaining the cabins and wider site. Assistance with external cabin painting, weeding/light gardening, clearing leaves/mud from roadsides, leaf blowing and internal decorating would be beneficial however there are often other jobs that need doing. Some jobs are weather dependent. No specific experience or skills are required - just a can-do attitude.

We would welcome volunteers during our quieter months from 1st October to 15th January (excluding the Christmas period) as well as March and April (excluding school holidays)

Flexible hours, around 4-5 hours a day, 5 days a week Free time to explore the local area

Extra perks

DVD library in the information room along with a selection of games and books. All cabins are self-catering.

Pets

Staff have pets on site. Pets of all shapes and sizes are very welcome here. As volunteers would have their own private cabin in the woods they are free to bring their own pets.

Local area

We sit sit in a beautiful, natural wooded valley running down to the sea at Wembury Bay in South Devon, near Plymouth. Look closely and, hidden among the lush green foliage, you’ll see wooden cabins nestling on the hillside… A haven of peace within an environmental paradise, Churchwood Valley is a few minutes’ walk from a safe family beach and the South West Coast Path. We value wildlife, not nightlife. On site you'll find a seasonal shop and laundrette as well as EV charger and information room. The nearby village has transport links to Plymouth and surrounding areas.

We're very close to Wembury beach and the South West Coast Path. There are excellent walking routes nearby and some wonderful spaces to roam and explore. The wider area includes Plymouth which has a rich history. Dartmoor is short drive away along with tourist destinations such as The Eden Project and the South West's excellent beaches.
