About
Wooden cabin (with kitchenette, bathroom with shower, double bed & sofa bed), on the bay of Tuquoy (Island of Westray in the Orkneys) with stunning views across the beach and sea.
There is so much to see and experience from wildlife, history, community life and beautiful landscape.
I am looking for a volunteer(s) to paint the outside of the cabin and the decking with wood preserver.

Volunteers will have sole use of the cabin, which has an open-plan kitchenette, dining area (with table and 4 chairs), sofa, double bed, with shower and toilet in en-suite bathroom. Bedding and towels are provided.

On Westray there is the opportunity to explore thousands of years of history from the remains of a neolithic village, viking houses, medieval churches, a castle, a lighhouse, to traditional stone crofts.
There is an abundance of wildlife on the island from seal to puffins (and an array of other sea and migratory birds), all within a beautiful landscape (including high sea cliffs, beautiful beaches and bats, and fields). The centre of the island community (Pierowell Village) is well equipped with shops, cafe, hotel, gym. Staying on the island provides a great opportunity to experience life in an island community of 600 people.
