The centre is situated in a beautiful landscape between two nature reserves; and just two minutes walk from St Andrew's church, which has a yew tree of 1,800 years old. The seventeenth century farm buildings have been restored and specially converted for use as a venue. They are set within seven acres of fields and gardens. We are not a community although there are 8 people living on site + David the owner and myself. The house keeping, maintenance, office team and kitchen helpers come to work during the day. We have a vegetable garden and a small orchard. And a lot of residential groups coming and going. We are hosting the groups; providing food and accommodation. We are not participating in the events, we only work at making their stay smooth and welcoming.

Also Street with Clarcks village (pedestrian area with shops) Further afield the city of Wells with a wonderful cathedral reachable by bus and further again Cheddar gorge and Bristol city.
