5 Star Luxury Cottages, Cornwall

Our site set in a beautiful rural location, yet still within easy reach of the sea. Originally a working farm, it was thoughtfully converted around 17 years ago into holiday cottages, which now form our main business. Guests choose to stay with us because they’re looking for somewhere peaceful to truly unplug and unwind. Set within 34 acres, the grounds include a mix of woodland, open fields, and walking paths around the alpaca paddocks—all of which are open for guests to explore and enjoy. Our animals are a big part of the experience, with the pygmy goats always proving to be firm favourites! As a volunteer, you’ll have the opportunity to experience everything our guests do and really make the most of the surroundings There’s always something that needs doing—whether it’s hedge cutting or painting. We have a rolling programme of maintenance that works around both the weather and cottage availability, so no two weeks ever look quite the same. Our current project is getting three new glamping pods up and running, which involves everything from building the decking to constructing bespoke wooden toilet blocks. Once these are complete we will be start builing a new shelter for our machinery. In the wetter months we tend to focus on indoor cottage maintance such as painting and as it gets drier focus on the outdoor grounds such cutting back hedges, fixing fencing etc. We have a lovely on-site woods, which has an ever ending list of jobs from cutting back the river banks, leveling of the ground, clearning the fallen trees from the river, keeping the paths clear etc. For those that would like to get more involved in the animals, there are weekly checks and regualry husbandary task you can help with.
