Helping on a small Welsh Cattle farm

I am always looking for people who might enjoy organising and tidying! There are a lot of tools and bits and pieces that need organising in our big shed. Let me know if you are a natural tidier! But there are planty of other jobs too, if that's not your forte! This is a small agroecological farm with a mission to restore biodiversity as well as produce high quality food. It's run by me, Joe, my partner Hannah, and occasional helpers. I trained and worked as an ecologist before turning to farming, and the ecological side of the project is as important to me as the agricultural side. We keep Welsh White, Dexter and Highland Cattle - their job is to maintain the pasture in our developing woodland pasture. I used to grow cereal crops - oats and heritage wheat - but I'm taking a break from that right now, The farm is also home to two cats, three chickens, and abundant wildlife. Our home is this farm on the edge of the Cambrian mountains, in a beautiful secluded valley with clear-watered streams tumbling through ancient woodland of oak, ash and hazel. We also have fifty acres of land on the coast, right behind the beach, surrounded by an important nature reserve of sand dunes and raised bog (Ynyslas NNR). There are always jobs to do on the farm! Typical activities include: feeding cattle, planting trees and hedges, mending fences, maintaining and fixing machines. I'm also keen to teach people about the natural side of the farm, identifying plants and fungi and understanding the ecology of the farm and its surrounding landscape. Here, we don't have a rigid schedule, so we can see how a guest might prefer to do things - a few hours of farm jobs a day, or perhaps fuller days interspersed with days of free time?
