About

The farm is based in rural Fife, Scotland and is run on a small scale. Land management is low intensity and seasonal, focused on grassland, animal welfare and maintaining a sustainable working environment rather than maximising output. Much of the work is done by hand, with an emphasis on simplicity and long term stewardship. This is a family-run operation and remains deliberately small. The farm is home to a small group of animals, each with a role in the daily rhythm of the land. We keep ponies, sheep, free range chickens and a working Border Collie. Together they shape how the farm runs - from grazing and ground care to eggs, wool and day-to-day work. Everything done here is done at a measured pace, with attention to animal welfare and practical stewardship rather than scale or intensity. Depends on the skills of the applicant. There are major building works taking place restoring the old farm buildings and skilled persons would be helpful. For others who have less applicable skills then, Looking after the hens. Walking and training my border collie. Harvesting produce. Vegetable garden maintenance. Childcare is also an option.

Accommodation

Private Self-Contained Unit
Basic static caravan with hot water and electricity, double bedroom and single bedroom. Kitchen facilities and living room. Its old and in need of some TLC but I think adequate for a farm stay. Toilet facilities are a caravan toilet that needs to be emptied into a larger tank daily.
